RadioEngage
What is the future of public media stations? from Knight Pulse on Vimeo.
RadioEngage is a CMS created for public radio stations. It allows stations to create a social media-based website where they can engage listeners, while simplifying the process of publishing and archiving radio content. The project is funded by a grant from the Knight News Foundation.
Central coast station KUSP will be the test market for RadioEngage. Launch of the new KUSP.org is scheduled to take place before the end of February 2009, at which point work will begin to make RadioEngage available for free to any public radio station.
The grant was awarded to Margaret Rosas, founder and chief strategist of Quiddities Dev, Inc. Founded in 2003, Quiddities is a strategic web development agency located in Santa Cruz, CA. The RadioEngage platform will be developed in Drupal, a powerful and flexible open-source CMS, and a favorite at Quiddities.
