RadioEngage

Radioengage is a project currently funded by the Knight Foundation to create a website powered by Drupal, specific to station needs in public broadcasting. The project will provide a Drupal install profile and documentation to make its adoption and use more accessible.

We will launch early iterations via our beta station kusp.org in the next month. We are clear that for this project to succeed in a larger scale, certain issues must be addressed:

• A critical first step is to begin a network for communication between all Drupal users in public media. We will host conversation and provide project status here on RadioEngage and we are also in the process of establishing a Public Media group on groups.drupal.org
• To the extent that a conversation was started with regard to the future of public media at IMA09, we would like to provide a forum to continue that dialogue in particular as it relates to technology.
• We need to address issues of support and continuing module development, with both needing to be sustained on an on-going basis. We also envision the organization of local volunteer teams to support stations.
